Digital Health’s monthly roundup of contracts and go lives brings you news of a collaboration project from Re:Cognition Health and MYndspan and a new home monitoring service for patients waiting for cardiac surgery in Greater Manchester.

Great Ormond Street deploy imaging tech from Sectra

Just days before Christmas, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust announced it was to deploy modern medical imaging technology from Sectra.

The Sectra package included a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) to help streamline access to images and improve efficiencies.

Sectra’s technology will integrate with the trust’s electronic health record (EHR), improving how images are launched in theatres during procedures.

The trust originally signed a contract with Sectra in September 2022 and will use the Sectra One subscription model enabling easy scalability of the enterprise imaging solution.

Devon and Cornwall Care Record goes live

The Devon and Cornwall Care Record went live on the Orion Health Amadeus platform in December, supporting frontline staff to view patient information from multiple systems.

The go live was the first phase of a larger project to allow the sharing of critical patient data across health and care systems in order to improve efficiency and deliver improved patient care.

The solution will be rolled out to more GPs, services and acute trusts this year, with additional data giving healthcare professionals in the region a more complete overview of their patients.

Re:Cognition Health and MYndspan collaborate

With just days left of 2022 we brought you the news of a collaboration between Re:Cognition Health and MYndspan.

MYndspan’s non-invasive scanning technology was rolled out to Re:Cognition Health’s patients at its London clinic.

The tech helps to assess and measure brain health quickly and delivers data-driven insights to empower patients and improve the care they receive.

OxfordVR and BehaVR combined

As 2022 drew to a close the merger of two digital therapeutic companies resulted in the largest VR delivery platform for evidence-based digital behaviour therapies.

Oxford Science Enterprises’ health tech portfolio company, OxfordVR combined with BehaVR, to offer comprehensive virtual reality-based treatments for mental health.

The newly combined company will be known as BehaVR and will focus on clinically-validated, immersive digital treatments spanning the full spectrum of mental and behavioural health needs.

Cognitant and Versus Arthritis team up

Cognitant’s patient platform Healthinote now hosts a comprehensive selection of Versus Arthritis’ resources, after the two companies teamed up in early January to improve access to information, advice and tools on musculoskeletal conditions.

The resources available include health information, exercise videos and support services. The platform is integrated with over 3,000 GP practices, allowing them to seamlessly prescribe the digital content to patients.

New home monitoring service for cardiac patients

At the start of the year Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire Cardiac Clinical Network, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and FCMS launched a home monitoring service for patients waiting for cardiac surgery.

Patients are able to monitor their health daily, using equipment provided by Docobo. Clinicians review the data to help spot any potential deterioration in patients as they wait for planned cardiac surgery.

The service is available to patients in Greater Manchester, who are waiting for specialist cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass grafts or valve replacement at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
